Spiderman Game Review: The Amazing Spider Man 2012 is a 3rd person action plus adventure game, based on the film by the same name casting the Marvel Comics well known superhero, Spider-Man. It was made by Beenox who happens to be the developer of Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Spider-Man: Edge of Time while published by Activision. It was released in June, 2012 in USA and on 29th June, 2012 in Europe for Xbox 360, P3, Nintendo DS, Mobile, iOS, Android, and PC platforms. In October 13, last year, it was said that it will be coming to Wii U in March, 2013. The game director is Gerard Lehiany and its writer is Seamus Kevin Fahey(Battlestar Galactica), Benjamin Schirtz and Lehiany. The game works as an epilogue to The Amazing Spider-Man movie. The game starts some months after the events of the film.Peter Parker and activist Gwen Stacy enter the restricted areas of Oscorp after working hours, where Gwen expresses her suspicions that they may be conducting Connors' cross-species experiments. During this act both of them are caught by Alistair Smythe, the new director of Oscorp, who tells them that some scientists were indeed covertly continuing the unethical experiments by injecting animals with human's DNA, the resulting species carry a dangerous virus and are currently being transferred to a bio-lab for safe disposal. At that exact instant, the altered species all react to Parker's presence and escape from the facility, infectingall of the Oscorp scientists as well as Gwen and Smythe. Alistair then activates his security sentinals which are programmed to defend humans against cross-species. Instead they attack Peter Parker, as he actually is a cross-species too. Parker quickly takes up his Spider-Man suit and gets those who have been infected to quarantine, fighting off the sentinals at the same time, but is not able to prevent the cross-species from escaping into the city.The Amazing Spider-Man got mixed reviews. Aggregating review websites GameRankings and Metacritic gave the PS3 version seventy two% and 71 out of 100,the Xbox 360 version 71% and 68 out of 100,the Wii version received 64.33% and 58 out of 100 points,the 3DS version fifty six% and 55/100 ranking and the 3DS version fifty three %.
